Weekly Community Training and Forums
Each month, Factor offers recurring training sessions on project entry, project scheduling, and tracking/reporting as well as a monthly user forum for announcements, Q&A, and feedback. Register and join via Zoom below.
Weekly sessions are provided at 1:00 pm Eastern Time and are open to attendance from any Factor users. The recurring training sessions will follow a consistent format and allow new users to get introduced to project management concepts in Factor. They also make it easy to send team members for a refresher or to learn new capabilities of the system they haven't previously used. Each training will feature a brief portion of time for Q&A, but on the fourth week of every month, we'll hold an open forum to announce any new features, answer questions from the previous sessions, and discuss feedback to fuel new feature development and prioritization.
Week 1: Project Entry Training
Occurs on the first Wednesday of each month, with the exception of holidays.
This first session's focus is on project entry: how to create projects in Factor and enter all the details you know about budget, timeline, and scope. Special attention will be paid to budgeting in your fee breakdown. We'll also explore why those details matter in terms of how you will later plan, track, and invoice the project.

Occurs on the second Wednesday of each month, with the exception of holidays.
This second session's focus is on project planning: how to create timelines, assign tasks, and schedule resources in Factor. Special attention will be paid to how you can balance what you know of timeline, scope, and utilization with your project budget to avoid overruns. We'll also explore why those details matter in terms of how you will later track and invoice the project.

Occurs on the third Wednesday of each month, with the exception of holidays.
This third session's focus is on project tracking: how to measure budget spent, time elapsed, and work complete with the remaining balance of each. Special attention will be paid to how you can make adjustments based on what you see. We'll also explore how to change the format of your project management reporting to make your status meetings and budget reviews more consistent and effective.
