How is My Factor Subscription Billed?
Factor is priced by the seat/user and offers quantity and annual discounts as well as pro-rated pricing for changes in user count.

Factor A/E is a subscription-based app designed for architecture and engineering firms. You can choose to pay monthly or annually, and the more users you have, the more you save.

🔄 Adjusting Seats and Billing
If your team size changes, here’s how billing works:
- Monthly plans: You’ll be prorated for any seats added or removed during the billing cycle.
- Example: Add a new user halfway through the month and pay $18 (half of $36) on your next invoice.
- Annual plans: You’ll be prorated for any additional seats you add during your annual term.
- Example: Add a user 6 months into your term at the $24/month rate and pay $144 (6 months × $24).
⛔ We don’t refund for removed seats, but you can always reassign them to someone else.
⏳ Will I Get Billed After My Trial Expires?
You’ll only be charged if you’ve entered a payment method during your trial.
- If you did enter a payment method, your account will automatically move to a monthly subscription based on the number of users you’ve added—excluding any demo users that came preloaded in your trial.
- If you did not enter a payment method, your trial will simply expire, and your account will be locked until you choose to subscribe.
You can always update your billing settings in SETTINGS if you’d like to enter a payment method before your trial ends—or wait until you’re ready to move forward.
🧾 Managing Billing & Plan Info
Anyone with firm admin permissions can view and manage your subscription in SETTINGS. From there, you can:
- Update your payment method
- Review your current plan and active seat count
- Add or remove users
- Switch between monthly and annual billing
